Syntronic driving sustainability forward with IEEE

Syntronic is a proud partner of Nordic SYP Congress 2019. From October 25th to 27th IEEE will be hosting a congress for students, young professionals, and women in engineering. The event will be spread out over 2 time zones, 2 countries, and a ferry in between.

The theme of the event is sustainability with speakers coming together from Sandvik, Nokia, Volvo Cars, and Vattenfall, as well as a host of other industry and academic entities to discuss the topic of sustainability and how to engineer better, more efficient solutions.

Improving sustainability in products will become an increasingly important requirement in the coming years and Syntronic, always one step ahead, has agreed to be a partner of the conference.

The cruise part of the congress will focus on the soft skills required by engineers today, whilst the days in Helsinki and Stockholm will focus heavily on sustainability in industry. The day at KTH in Stockholm will feature talks from KTH engineering professors, Volvo Cars, and Vattenfall amongst others.

IEEE has over 350,000 members worldwide with strong member bases in Canada, China, America and all across Europe.

New Site Manager in Japan, Koichi Sato!

We are excited to announce and welcome Koichi Sato as our new site manager at Syntronic in Tokyo, Japan. Koichi-san brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales of electronic products for the industrial and telecom sectors, he also brings extensive experience in business development for global companies.

Most recently, Koichi-san was at Nihon Weidmüller as a business development manager. He was developing the business of industrial products for Japanese electronics companies such as FANUC, Mitsubishi Electronics, Yokogawa Electric and Hitachi. Before that, Koichi-san was global key account manager and division manager for an IT business unit at Rittal K.K. In addition, Koichi-san brings experience from the semiconductor industry in marketing and sales for Mitsui Bussan Electronics for several years.

In this role as site manager at Syntronic, Koichi-san will be building up high performing teams and continuing the work of expanding the Syntronic presence in the Asian market.

Daniel Svedjeholm and Fredrik Jansson will be our new consultant managers in Gävle

It’s with great pleasure that we announce Daniel Svedjeholm and Fredrik Jansson as our new consultant managers at Syntronic Research and Development. They will be a part of the management group and lead the R&D team in Gävle.

Daniel joined Syntronic in 2006 as a design engineer and has after that built up extensive experience as project manager for large and complex development projects. Daniel has, in recent years played a key role as project manager, in several successfully delivered projects. On his spare time, Daniel likes to spend his time in the forest of Södermanland hunting, mostly wild boar and elk.

Fredrik recently came from Eco Log, Söderhamn where he has held the position of product development manager. Previous to that Fredrik has several years of project management experience. Outside work, Fredrik is involved in local sports clubs, Hille IF in football and Hille/Åbyggeby in hockey. He also like to spend his free time in the forest, hunting or by doing forestry work.

Syntronic China has a new breakthrough in the Industrial Test System field

Recently, Syntronic China partnered with a leading electronics & automation company to successfully develop a customized Ongoing Reliability Test System, a new breakthrough in the field of industrial test systems.

Syntronic’s Ongoing Reliability Test System can effectively verify the product life characteristics through two testing modes; temperature cycle and accelerated aging at high temperature. During the testing process, the product voltage, current, temperature and state parameters can be monitored in real time. In addition to the basic testing functions, Syntronic also optimizes and innovates the system by making the system:

– Easy to move, providing space flexibility
– Safe and reliable, ensuring smooth operation of product testing
– Cloud collaboration, creating digital monitoring system

The test system also features high compatibility, which can be applied to aging durability test of related products in industrial and automotive fields. Syntronic also provides other functional testing of electronic products such as PCB test, visual test, acoustic test, etc., to provide customers with complete production test solutions.

Syntronic – Exhibitor at AIAE BEIJING 2019

Syntronic China recently participated as an exhibitor at AIAE BEIJING 2019 – one of the leading and largest automation events in the Asia-Pacific region, sharing innovative technologies, concepts and solutions for Industrial 4.0 and Internet of Things. In the context of Industry 4.0, “Intelligence” has become the theme of the fourth industrial revolution. Syntronic presented customized solutions in HW/SW development, Automated Testing Systems and Industrial IoT.

Five years in Canada!

June 13, 2019 – Syntronic has just celebrated five-years in Canada. Syntronic celebrated this significant milestone with its customers, employees, and partners at its offices in Kanata, Ontario.

Syntronic is a global engineering design house founded in 1983 in Sweden. In Kanata, Syntronic has grown to almost 300 employees since opening in 2014.

Jimmy Kelland, Syntronic Business Development Manager and Master of Ceremonies at the celebration, re-introduced City of Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson whom he also had the pleasure of introducing at the grand opening 5 years earlier.

Watson and Kanata North City Councillor Jenna Sudds presented Hans Molin, President, Syntronic Canada, and Darrell Wellington, Senior Vice President with a certificate of achievement. Syntronic Global President and CEO Björn Jansson spoke to the reasons why Ottawa was the chosen site for Syntronic to set-up shop in North America – proximity to many existing global and potential customers and its strong tech talent pool. Urban Ahlin, Sweden’s Ambassador to Canada, delighted guests with a discussion on the very close relationship and synergies between the two countries, especially when it comes to its business communities and passion for technical knowledge and product development. Karen McCrimmon, MP for Kanata-Carleton was also on-hand to congratulate the team on the incredible growth and plans for the future.

The event focused on “Innovation and Partnership” with impressive displays by Syntronic and local/global partners, including BlackBerry QNX, SiLabs, Keysight Technologies, Intellisports, Logan Katz, Cresa, ProCorp Financial and Invest Ottawa.
