Syntronic – Make way for Indonesia

Indonesia is taking big steps to move their capital, Jakarta, and turn it into a sustainable and smart city. The Indonesian government have invested USD 40 billion to modernize Jakarta. The heavy focus on the ICT and digitalization has made Indonesia a good alternative for Swedish companies that want to grow on the Asian market.

Business Sweden, an organization that help Swedish companies to grow their global sales and help international companies to invest and expand in Sweden, invited Syntronic to be a partner in their latest initiative: Make way for Indonesia.

Make way for Indonesia is a concept where Business Sweden together with already established Swedish companies in Indonesia are sharing their experience and stories of establishing in Indonesia.

It’s been two years since Syntronic opened the doors to the new aftermarket facility in Jakarta, Indonesia. The site started off with ten employees and has today grown into a team of 100 employees that supports customers with aftermarket services such as repair and upgrades.

– Indonesia’s rapid growth in ICT and digitalization has fueled market demand for our telecom services. Business has surpassed our expectations and we have invested in a high-tech facility in West Java to support our expansion plans, says Stefan Sundin, Managing Director, PT. Syntronic Indonesia.

Syntronic Canada expands its UX design, Mobile App and Full-Stack Development capabilities

Last week, Anders Jeppsson, the head of Syntronic’s UX/Mobile/Full-stack Design Studio presented at Ottawa’s IEEE Lunch & Learn event about “Collaborative UX/UI” and challenges of designing advanced user-centric products in a connected world. He provided insights on effective collaboration between multiple hardware and software teams, managing cross-functional teams, challenges of hardware companies transitioning to software companies entering IoT market, and working with remote teams.

In the last 12 months Anders’ team has grown into a large Design Studio with experienced UX designers and software developers. The team is currently working on both Native (iOS / Android) and Hybrid Mobile Apps as well as web, databases, dashboards, machine learning and big data analytics projects. The team is uniquely positioned being part of a global engineering design house with access to additional software and hardware teams at Syntronic both in Canada and globally.

Syntronic uses a UX centric product development approach to help clients develop connected products that are engaging, responsive, and attuned to users’ needs and wants. A well-designed mobile app can enable an ongoing connection between a company and their customers and offer products a competitive advantage by increasing customer engagement, improving customer service and helping build brand loyalty.

To learn more, you can register for the IoT Ottawa Meetup on February 20th and hear Anders lead the session on “Mobile UX for IoT: App Development for Stronger Customer Relationships” or schedule a 1:1 chat over a cup of coffee to discuss your project needs by contacting Anders Jeppsson on LinkedIn.

Syntronic China signs DSP technology service agreement with leading instrument company

Syntronic China recently signed a technical service agreement with a leading instrument customer in China to provide DSP algorithm development services for its flagship product, terminal integrated testers.

Within the area of big data, the speed of data capacity growth has greatly exceeded the development speed of hardware technology. The application of faster and more efficient signal processing is in high demand. In this project, Syntronic’s algorithm team will reduce the R&D- and manufacturing costs, increase the development efficiency, calculation accuracy, and flexibly adapt to changes in external demand.

Syntronic is expanding its business of algorithm development to next-generation GPU-based floating-point chips, providing a development model for next-generation computing.

Syntronic China increases focus on automotive business

Syntronic China recently signed a technical agreement with a leading automotive company to provide development services. The project includes fault information propagation, definition of input/output, routine controls and over the air updates.

In this project Syntronic is responsible for software development and functional test of an ECU UDS server module according to the ISO-14229 diagnostic protocol. The implementation will then be run through tests on a universal UDS tester.

Automotive ECUs are becoming more and more complex, the importance of vehicle fault diagnosis continues to increase. The UDS development technology provided by Syntronic has the advantage of a short development cycle, modular development, strong code portability and support of multiple embedded development platforms. It is convenient for use in development of testing equipment for ECU production lines and also adds needed functionality for Internet of Vehicles systems.
