Syntronic was invited by Business Sweden, the Swedish Energy Agency and Embassy of Sweden in Jakarta to participate in a delegation led by Mr Ibrahim Baylan, Minister of Policy Coordination and Energy and accompanied by Mr Erik Brandsma, Director General of the Swedish Energy Agency. The purpose with the delegation is to open up for new business possibilities within the energy sector in Indonesia. This delegation also contribute to a opportunity for the companies to present Swedish solutions and competence for Indonesian decision makers. This is how Business Sweden describes the situation for the energy sector within Indonesia:
- The demand for sustainable and innovative energy solutions in Indonesia is growing at an increasing rate. By 2019, Indonesia has set a target to increase total electricity capacity with 35GW. By 2025, the government is targeting 23% of the total energy mix to be made up by renewable resources. Swedish companies can offer a lot to the Indonesian energy sector - both energy efficiency solutions and solutions for improving the energy mix to focus on more renewable energy sources.
Syntronic was one of the Swedish companies that took part of the delegation and we presented how our services can support the energy sector transformation of Indonesia. We want to contribute with our knowledge and experience in the work of finding energy efficiency solutions for our customers.
