On Friday April 20th 2018, Bob Chiarelli, Minister of Infrastructure and Member of Provincial Parliament for Ottawa West-Nepean was at Syntronic Research & Development Canada to announce Ontario’s partnership with Syntronic Canada. This partnership will help strengthen the Ontario economy through the creation of new jobs and technology investments.
Syntronic Canada will receive an EODF grant of six hundred thousand ($600,000) Canadian Dollars to augment their investment of approximately $6-million Canadian Dollars to create new jobs in Ottawa over the next five years. The grant will help Syntronic Canada reach their goal to establish highly technical jobs in Ontario.
Syntronic Canada opened less than 4 years ago with an aggressive target of hiring 125 new employees within 5 years. They have already exceeded this target, with a growth of almost double the initial target, and a strategic focus to double the current headcount in the next 3 years.
The grant will help Syntronic Canada realize their vision of building a world class design center, enabling them to develop the products of the future and service customers in areas such as 5G wireless, autonomous vehicles and IoT.
